Dr. An brings an impressive blend of academic excellence, clinical expertise, and research innovation to her role as our newest orthodontic specialist.

Dr. An earned her Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from Boston College before receiving her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from the prestigious Columbia University College of Dental Medicine. Her passion for orthodontics led her to the University of Connecticut, where she recently completed both a Certificate in Orthodontics and a Master of Dental Science degree. During her time there, she served as Chief Orthodontic Resident—a role that reflects her leadership, dedication, and commitment to advancing the field.

A recipient of the 2023 NESO Resident Research Grant, Dr. An’s groundbreaking research focused on the development of an artificial intelligence (AI) algorithm to predict the location and severity of impacted maxillary teeth. Her work has been widely recognized, earning accolades such as the Dr. Milton G. Schlesinger Award for Excellence in Research, the Pierre Fauchard Academy Student Certificate of Merit, and 1st Place at Columbia’s 63rd Birnberg Research Symposium. She was also a finalist in the 2020 AADR Hatton Competition, showcasing her dedication to evidence-based, patient-focused care.
